Sai Vikas, Aniketh and Arjun help Evergreen rout Charminar by 107 runs in A Division T20

Sai Vikas Reddy struck a century and G Aniketh Redy and Arjun G scalped three wickets apiece as Evergreen routed Charminar by 107 runs in the HCA A Division T20 League-Cum-Knock-Out Tournament in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Batting first, Evergreen scored a competitive 207 for six thanks to Sai Vikas Reddy’s 51- ball 103 which contained nine fours and eight sixes. He was ably supported by Ishan Sharma who made 42.

In reply, Charminar were all at sea against Aniketh and Arjun. The batters found it difficult to counter the Evergreen bowlers and folded up for 100. Shrey Singh was the lone wager with a 41. Aniketh took three for 20 and Arjun bagged three for 16.

Raghava, Rishab, Varun, Amol shine

Raghava Pattapu’s century went in vain as R Dayanand lost to Central Excise by six wickets in a high-scoring game.

Raghava made 123 off 64 balls with 10 fours and nine sixes as R Dayanand ran up 221 for nine. Sai Varun Y took three for 32 for Central Excise.

The target proved insufficient as Central Excise replied with 224 for four in 17.3 overs as PS Chaitanya Reddy made 73 and C Abhinav Tej remained unbeaten on 57. A Prithvi Reddy took three for 27 for the losers.

Rishab Baslas’ set up EMCC’s seven-wicket win over Gemini Friends. Leggie Baslas took four for 15 as Gemini Friends were restricted to 134 for nine. Abdul Ela Al Qureshi made an unbeaten 41 but the rest failed to make it count.

In reply, EMCC made 135 for three with Pragnay Reddy scoring 69 of those.

A Varun Goud took four for 22 to help Sporting XI score a 27-run win over Cambridge XI. Sporting XI, batting first, made 208 for nine with Shaik Sohail topscoring with 50. In reply, Cambridge were restricted to 181 for nine with Varun taking four wickets.

Union Bank of India (UBI) scored a narrow five-run win over Balaaji. UBI, batting first, made a modest 155 for eight with Neeraj Bist scoring 50. C Tanishq Naidu took three for 18 for Balaaji.

Balaaji, in reply, were restricted to 150 for seven with Hrishikesh Simha getting 33. Veteran off-spinner Amol Shinde took three for 22 to fashion UBI’s narrow win.

Brief scores: UBI 155/8 in 20 overs (Neeraj Bist 50, Nitin Nayak 40, C Tanishq Naidu 3/18) beat Balaaji 150/7 in 20 overs (Hrishikesh Simha 33, Amol Shinde 3/22).

R Dayanand 221/9 in 20 overs (Raghava Pattapu 123, Goutham Reddy 31, Sai Varun Y 3/32) lost to Central Excise 224/4 in 17.3 overs (PS Chaitanya Reddy 73, Y Sai Varun 44, C Abhinav Tej 57no, A Prithvi Reddy 3/27).

Deccan Wanderers 148 in 20 overs (R Sai Sharan 34, Sunkari Dheeraj 41, A Sai Ardit Reddy 3/26) lost to SCRSA 150/7 in 20 overs (S Dhruva Kumar Reddy 33, Gutta Rohit 52, Md Asif Mansoori 3/34, Ashish Srivastav 3/19).

Gemini Friends 134/9 in 20 overs (Abdul Ela Al Qureshi 41no, Rishab Baslas 4/15) lost to EMCC 135/3 in 12.3 overs (A Avanish Rao 36, Pragnay Reddy 69).

MP Colts 158/6 in 20 overs (Mickil Jaiswal 47, S Vaishnav Reddy 43no) beat Budding Stars 135/6 in 20 overs (A Jai Ram Kashyap 34, SV Aditya Varma 36no).

Sporting XI 208/9 in 20 overs (Shaik Sohail 50, Yash Satwalekar 45, B Rathan Teja 35, R Dinesh 3/29) beat Cambridge XI 181/9 in 20 overs (Shashank Lokesh 38, Anudeep Javvaji 34, Kritin Kothapally 61, A Varun Goud 4/22).

Evergreen 207/6 in 20 overs (Sai Vikas Reddy 103, Ishan Sharma 42) beat Charminar 100 in 14.5 overs (Shrey Singh 41, G Aniketh Reddy 3/20, Arjun G 3/16).
