Bhavitha’s brace helps Nalgonda down Gadwal; Siddipet, Nizamabad win in U-16 Asmita

Bhavitha scored a brace to help Nalgonda beat Gadwal 3-0 in the Telangana Football Association’s (TFA) Under-16 Asmita Football League in Nizamabad on Friday.

Nalgonda proved too good for the Gadwal team. Sangeetha opened the scoring for Nalgonda in the 17^th minute and thereafter, Bhavitha held sway. She struck in the 25^th and 38^th minutes to seal the issue for Nalgonda.

Siddipet scored a convincing 4-0 win over Warangal. Siddipet dominated the proceedings from the word go Kruthika struck in the second minute of the game. Swapna made it 2-0 in the 6^th minute and Arpitha scored in the 10^th minute. Manashwini rounded off the tally in the 11^th minute.

In another match, Nizamabad defeated Mahabubnagar 2-0. Jahnavi scored in the 7^th minute and Nakshatra struck in the 10^th minute.

Keshav Venu chairman of Nizamabad Urban Development Authority (NODA) was the chief guest. P Pavan Kumar DYSO and G P Palguna, secretary, Telangana Football Association, were also present at the inauguration.

Results: Siddipet 4 (Kruthika 2^nd, Swapna 6^th, Arpitha 10^th, Manashwini 11^th) beat Warangal 0.

Nizamabad 2 (Jahnavi 7^th, Nakshatra 10^th) beat Mahabubnagar 0.

Nalgonda 3 (Sangeetha 7^th, Bhavitha 25^th and 38^th) beat Gadwal 0.
