Priyanka ‘tricks in Wanaparthy’s 6-0 win over Warangal; Omana does it for Nizamabad

A Priyanka struck a hat-trick to power Wanaparthy Football Club to a thumping 6-0 win over Warangal in the Telangana Football Association’s 12th Sub Junior Girls State Football Championship 2026 at Police Grounds in Nizamabad on Saturday.

Wanaparthy girls went on the rampage from the word go. Priyanka found the back of the net in the 10th minute to get her side off to a rousing start. She was, however, not done as she was in the thick of action soon. Five minutes later, Priyanka struck to make it 2-0 in favour of Wanaparthy FC.

Priyanka then completed her well-deserved hat-trick by scoring in the 30th minute of the game. Kishitha got her name in the scoresheet by scoring in the 35th minute. Indu struck in the 37th minute and L Sahithi rounded off the rout in the 39th minute as Wanaparthy cruised to an easy win.

Omana scores a hat-trick

In the second match of the day, Omana scored a hat-trick while Manaswini got a brace each to power Nizamabad Football Club to a 5-0 win over Siddipet Football Club.

Nizamabad girls began in a rousing fashion as Manaswini struck in the 5th minute of the game. She then made it 2-0 in the 9th minute before Omana took over the scoring responsibilities.

Omana made it 3-0 in the 15th minute and struck yet again in the 18th minute to make it 4-0 for Nizamabad. Omana was not to be denied a hat-trick as she struck in the 39th minute to power her side home with ease.

On Friday, Dhruthi scored a brace to help Ranga Reddy edge Adilabad 2-1 in a closely-fought game.

Dhruthi was off the blocks quickly as she struck in the 5th minute of the game to put Ranga Reddy 1-0 up. She then made it 2-0 by striking again in the 11th minute of the game.

E Rithika reduced the margin in the 15th minute, but Adilabad were unable to force their way and get the equalizer as the Ranga Reddy defence stood resolute.

The tournament was inaugurated on Friday by Sai Chaitanya, commissioner of police Nizamabad. Umarani Mudiraj, mayor of Nizamabad Municipal Corporation, was the guest of honour.

Results: Wanaparthy FC 6 (A Priyanka 10th min, 15th min, 30th min; Kishitha 35th min; Indhu Priya 37th min; L Sahithi 39th min) beat Warangal 0.

Nizamabad FC 5 (Manaswini 5th min, 9th min; Omana 15th min, 18th min, 39th min) beat Siddipet FC 0.

Ranga Reddy 2 (Dhruthi 5th min, 11th min) beat Adilabad 1 (E Rithika 15th min).
