Affan struck seven times as Sreenidhi Deccan Little Stars Academy scored a thumping 15-0 win over Sporthood in the Under-12 category of the OneFC Hyderabad at the Sportek Arena, Gandipet, Hyderabad, on Sunday.
Sreenidhi Deccan Little Stars Academy footballers brooked no challenge as they swamped the rival territory and scored at will. Affan scored a whopping seven goals, while Milan got four to his name. Abber and Ammar scored two goals each.
In another match, Arya hammered 10 goals as FC Mastergrade scored a resounding 11-1 win over Sporthood.
The third matchday of OneFC Hyderabad marked the halfway point of the five-week league journey and what a week it was. The weather took a dramatic turn, with winds swirling throughout the day and rain pouring down as the final matches concluded. Yet, true to the spirit of the tournament, not a single player let the conditions dampen their energy or their hunger for goals.
The theme of Matchday 3 was the Creative Aspect, and taking centre-stage was the fierce D5 1v1 Contest. The one-on-one battles brought out some remarkable individual talent, with players going head-to-head in a raw test of skill, creativity, and determination. Adding a touch of fun to the competition, coaches stepped up to take on the challenge too, turning it into as much of a spectacle as the matches themselves.
The Notch Challenge Course continued this week as well, with players pushing their limits and a new record being set — Conscient Sports clocked in at approximately 23 seconds, beating last week’s record by just 1 second and raising the bar heading into the final weeks.
With the tournament now past its halfway mark, teams are beginning to make their moves. Several sides held back their Powerplay Card this week, saving it strategically for the crucial final matches, a decision that is only set to make the competition fiercer as the league stage draws to a close.
