Jordan Anthony is the new star of the track. The 21-year-old American Jordan Anthony sped to the men’s 60m title at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland, on Friday evening, clocking a 6.41 to topple an experienced field.
Thus, the California-native backed up his shocking win over training-mate Noah Lyles at the US Indoor Championships earlier this month.
While Anthony was the clear winner, Paris 2024 100m silver medallist Kishane Thompson of Jamaica was just 0.001 ahead of the 2016 champion in this event, Trayvon Bromell. Both men registered a 6.45, but a photo finish saw Thompson just ahead of the American veteran. They claimed the silver and bronze, respectively.
However, 2025 champion Jeremiah Azu of Great Britain was kept off of the podium, coming in fourth at 6.46.
