India wrapped up their Asian Shooting Championships 2026 campaign in New Delhi with seven medals on the final day, taking their overall tally in senior rifle and pistol events to 33, 13 gold, 11 silver and nine bronze medals.
Amanpreet Singh, a former 25m standard pistol world champion, headlined Friday’s action with a gold in the 25m centre fire pistol, a non-Olympic shooting event. The 38-year-old Indian shooter topped the field with 589-24x across rapid and precision rounds.
Amanpreet’s compatriots Gurpreet Singh (584-20x) and Ankur Goel (570-11x) completed a podium sweep for India in the individual event. The trio also clinched team gold with a combined 1743-55x, ahead of Vietnam (1671-38x). Only two teams were eligible for the team medals.

India also clinched gold in the women’s 50m rifle prone team event with a total of 1862.9. Manini Kaushik, who finished seventh, contributed 618.7.
