Visakhapatnam fully prepared for hosting APL fixtures from June 9, says Girish Dongre

The Andhra Premier League (APL) operations team on Sunday completed a full inspection of the stadium and confirmed that all arrangements are in place for the upcoming matches in Visakhapatnam.

Girish Dongre, COO of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), stated that the venue is fully prepared for the APL fixtures starting from June 9, 2026.

The opening match of the tournament will feature Kakinada Kings versus Simhadri Vizag Lions on June 9, 2026, with play scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm.

The Andhra Cricket Association extends a warm invitation to cricket fans and the general public to attend. Entry will be free for all spectators.

ACA officials present during today’s inspection included MS Kumar, GM (game development, ACA), JKM Raju (stadium manager, ACA), and Y Venkatesh (media manager, ACA).
