Wafi Kachchhi fell short of his century, but Hyderabad took the honours against Bengal in their three-day match at the Dr N Kondal Rao Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
The Hyderabad Under-23 side got a 128-run first innings lead in the rain-hit game. The second day’s play was lost due to rain in the tour game.
On the final day, Hyderabad reached 349 for nine with Wafi scoring 94 before falling to Yudhajit Guha. His knock contained 14 fours and came off 155 balls. Wafi was the ninth batter to fall and skipper Aman Rao immediately declared the innings closed.
In reply, Bengal managed 221 with Chandrahas Dash scoring 89. Nishanth Saranu took three for 32 and Pranav Varma bagged three for 63.

Subham Tripathy took six wickets to put Team G in the driver’s seat against Team H in the Under-16 boys two-day selection match.
On the first day of play, Team H, batting first, were bowled out for 65 with Subham claiming six for 12 in 19.4 overs. In reply, Team G were 129 for four with G Anirudh batting on 62.
Aaryan Rath fell a run short of a century but his knock helped Team K reach 343 against Team L, who were 26 for two at stumps. Aaryan scored 99.
