Captain Yegnasri’s all-round show helped Savage Strikers edge out MNCA by 14 runs in the final of the Bail’s Women’s Cricket League. Yagna Sri struck a half-century to help Savage Strikers reach 263 and then returned to scalp six wickets as a fighting MNCA girls were restricted to 249.

Savage Strikers girls’ cricket team thus showcased their dominance by winning the title and bag their fourth consecutive title. Batting first, Savage Strikers were propped by Yegnasri’s brilliant 65 and Akki’s 48. Ananya Toomu chipped in with a useful 24 as Savage Strikers put up 263 on the board. Jazmine Gill took two for 31 and Deepshika bagged two for 38 as MNCA Girls put up a decent show with the cherry.

In reply, MNCA Girls put up a good fight and gave Savage Strikers a run for their money. Akshaya Nandigama topscored with 55 and Jazmine Gill, backed her good show with the ball, struck 45. Deepshika too scored 44 to go with her bowling performance. But Yegnasri had other ideas as her six-wicket haul helped Savage Strikers win by a close margin. Yegnasri finished with figures of six for 47 in her 10 overs.

In reply, Hyderabad Rising Stars were restricted to 234 for nine despite Akshara Rathod making a fine 108 off 91 balls. Chilukkur Mona Sri made 36. Anwitha took three for 41 for the winners.

In the batting department, Ashritha Goud, Neetu, and Nidhi Krishna made valuable contributions, while Ananya Thoomu played a quick and impactful innings that boosted the team’s run rate and laid a strong foundation for victory.
