Shourya Madabhushanam won the boys’ under-12 title at the Advantage Tennis Academy Junior Tennis Tournament 2026 at St Thomas High School, Vinayak Nagar, Safilguda, Hyderabad, on March 28 and 29.
Shourya finished on top in the round-robin league. He was followed by Vedhansh Nagelli. Enoch Bhargad and Sattu Ram Srihaas finished third and fourth respectively.

Shourya Madabhushanam won the boys under-12 title and finished runners-up in the under-14 category
In the boys under 14 event, Shourya Madabhushanam, Vedhansh Nagelli and Krishiv K were tied with five wins and one loss each. A tiebreak was held for the three players so that each of them got an equal chance.
Shourya defeated Krishiv 7-5, Vedhansh beat Krishiv 8-6 after being down 2-5. Vedhansh Nagelli, who was 2-5 down, rallied past Shourya Madabhushanam 8-6 in a nail-biting match to clinch the title.

In the girls under 14, Ariana Bhooshi conceded the first match after being 5-4 up due to cramps but came back to win the rest of the matches with true grit and consistency. She took home the title and was followed by G Ishitha Reddy. Jisha Sweytcha and Sahasra Paturi finished third and fourth respectively.

Shourya Madabhushanam, Vedhansh Nagelli, Gaurav Indrakanti, Sahasra Paturi and Jisha Sweytcha played both the under 12 and 14 events. Hence, they had to play 13 matches in the two-day tournament, but the players showed great resilience and fighting spirit as they played in the scorching heat.

Sahasra Paturi took home the girls’ under-12 title
In the girls under 12 category, Sahasra Paturi clinched the title. Jisha Sweytcha came in second, while Kanishka Voleti and Harshita Yalmod finished third and fourth respectively.
In the boys under 10, Prachetan Kamasamudram kept a clean slate as he won all his four matches to emerge champion. Akella Venkata Siddharth lost a match and had to be content with the second place. Gorapalli Ravi Adhrith and Aavala Chaan Vihaan came in third and fourth respectively.
