DRC Sports Foundation won their second consecutive match to strengthen their place in the points table at the Hyderabad Pickleball League Clubs Championship. DRC Sports Foundation pulled of a relatively comfortable 5-1 win over Pro-Touch at their home ground Ready Set Pickle at Durgam Cheruvu, Hyderabad.
In the first tie, which was a men’s double, Manoj Kumar Reddy K and Shiva Kumar Koduri were at the receiving end in the early part of the game against Venkata Sai Kumar Reddy and Kiran D.
The Pro-Touch duo looked in great touch as they took an early lead and looked to wrap up the tie within no time. Manoj and Shiva were trailing 2-7 but they pulled up their socks and started to claw their way back into contention. From being down 5-9, Manoj and Shiva staged a remarkable comeback as the reeled off winners to catch their rivals on the backfoot. Manoj and Shiva won 15-10 to give DRC Sports Foundation a 1-0 lead.

The women’s doubles team of Mattipati Diya and Sanjana Sirimalla brooked no challenge as they romped to a 15-4 win over Srinidhi Jaladi and Namrata Singh. The DRC Sports Foundation girls proved too hot for their rival team.
DRC Sports Foundation lose men’s singles tie
DRC Sports Foundation were 2-0 up and it looked like Pro-Touch had thrown in the towel. But Gangapatnam Manoj Raju had other ideas as he got the only point for his side in the encounter by defeating Mahesh Reddy 15-11.
Mahesh fought very hard to rally but Manoj didn’t give him any chance to stay in the contest. Mahesh then started to attack but lost 11-15.
A stunned DRC Sports Foundation team made sure that there were no further hiccups as they won the next three matches with relative ease.
Sanjana shines but DRC Sports Foundation go down fighting to Soo Collective 3-4 in HPL
Sanjana Sirimalla yet again proved her prowess as she toyed with Uttama Swaroop on way to a 15-4 victory.
Mahesh Reddy made amends for his earlier loss as he teamed up with Sahit Reddy and carved out a 15-7 win over G Manoj Raju and Venkat Sai Nimmagadda.
DRC Sports Foundation went 4-1 up but Pro-Touch’s mixed doubles pair did not give up the fight.
The mixed doubles was a tight affair as the girls from the rival camps came from tennis background and they rallied heavy strokes while the men volleyed and intercepted well for a great game of pickleball.
Mattipati Diya and Manoj Kumar Reddy K edged out Venkata Sai Kumar Reddy and Uttama Swaroop 15-12 to complete the rout.
For the second time, Ready Set Pickle arena filled with 200+ people with a good and healthy crowd cheering both the teams for their efforts.
