Eleven-year-old showjumping talent Mir Najamuddin Azam was crowned Champion Rider 2026 at the Hyderabad Horse Show following an outstanding performance at Nasr Polo & Equestrian Academy in Hyderabad.
Displaying remarkable skill, consistency and composure beyond his years, Azam delivered impressive performances throughout the competitions to secure the prestigious championship title. His achievement marks another important milestone in his promising equestrian career.
Hasham Triumphs as Telangana Showjumping Championship kicks off
The ten-day equestrian extravaganza at Nasr Polo & Equestrian Academy brought together approximately 450 participants for three major events, with 118 medals awarded across various categories. Riders, horses, coaches, clubs and families from across the country contributed to a memorable celebration of equestrian sport.
Azam’s victory stood out as one of the defining moments of the championship. At just 11 years of age, his confidence, dedication and partnership with his horses reflected the rapidly rising standard of young Indian equestrian talent.
The successful hosting of three events at a single venue further reinforced Nasr Polo & Equestrian Academy’s commitment to developing riders, promoting competitive equestrian sport and providing a professional platform for both emerging and accomplished athletes.
