Andhra Pradesh (AP) men made a clean sweep of the Inclusive Challengers Trophy T20 bilateral series against Madhya Pradesh in Guntur recently. Andhra Pradesh men won the series 5-0 to assert their dominance over their rivals.
The tournament unfolded over the past five days with nail-biting suspense at the Pichikalakunta grounds in Guntur, reached a thrilling conclusion.
Awards were presented across various categories to players who dazzled on the field and, through their extraordinary talent, turned the tide of the entire series.

B1 Category (Total Blindness): In this division, Ashok Reddy from Andhra Pradesh emerged as the Player of the Series.
B2 Category (Partial Blindness): In this division, Kotayya, also from Andhra Pradesh, claimed the title.
B3 Category (Partial Vision): In this division, Rampal of Madhya Pradesh received the award.

Guntur joint collector Ashutosh Srivastava graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest and presented the trophies to the winners. He congratulated the Andhra Pradesh team for remaining undefeated throughout the series and presented them with the winners’ trophy, certificates of appreciation, and a substantial cash prize.

The runners-up trophy, certificates, and a cash prize were presented to the Madhya Pradesh team, who fought valiantly throughout the series. SBI DGM Krishna Kumar B Prabhu, AIBOC state joint secretary Jaya Kumar, and assistant director of the department for the welfare of the differently abled Venkataramanappa participated as distinguished guests and encouraged the players.

Speaking on this occasion, Srivastava lauded the players, stating, “Despite having a visual impairment, the fighting spirit you displayed on the field, fueled by immense courage in your hearts, is truly magnificent. This is not merely a game; it serves as an inspiration to countless people.”

Organized jointly by the Cricket Association for the Blind Andhra Pradesh (CABAP) and the Differently Abled Cricket Council of Andhra Pradesh, with the full support and encouragement of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), this sporting extravaganza reached its zenith during the closing ceremony held on Friday.
