Andhra Pradesh women scored a five-run win over Delhi to win the 7th Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) Women T10 National Cricket Championship for Deaf 2026 in Gurugram.
Batting first, the Andhra Pradesh women’s team made 73 for four in their allotted 10 overs. Delhi put up a tough fight but were able to muster 68 for four in their 10 overs.

D Kanthamma was the star player for the Andhra Pradesh, and she reaped a rich harvest in the form of bagging three individual awards. Kanthamma was adjudged the Player of the Series, Player of the Match (final) and also the Best Batter of the Series.

Uttar Pradesh’s Priya Dixit took home the Best Bowler of the Series award.
Former Indian cricketer Gursharam Singh, who was the chief guest for the closing ceremony, gave away the winner’s trophy to the Andhra Pradesh team.

The trophy for the same was later awarded by former Indian Cricketer Shri Gursharam Singh who attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest for the event.
Other guests at the function were: Santosh Kumar Rai, special commissioner, Trade & Tax, Ranji Trophy player Ompal, Dev Dutt, head coach of the Indian deaf men’s team and certified BCCI coach, Susheel Gupta, coach, Indian deaf men’s team and in-charge of Bharat Nagar Cricket Ground, and Chander Prakash Kirodiwal, SSE / SP / SSB, DRM.

The tournament was hosted by Haryana Deaf Cricket Association (HDCA). The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA), supported by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and recognized by the Deaf International Cricket Council and Asian Deaf Cricket Association, is the brain behind the tournament.
“Over the past five days, we have witnessed exceptional talent, determination, and true sportsmanship displayed by our incredible deaf athletes, and it was truly a commendable performance we saw here today by both the Andhra Pradesh and Delhi teams, who gave it their all. I would also like to thank Dhiraj Kumar, president, HDCA, for being such a wonderful host for this event. Your presence here at this event will help us motivate more players, especially women players, to take up cricket as a career. I would also like to extend a special thanks to Dr Cyrus Poonawalla for his blessings and encouragement; the IDCA Women’s 7th T10 National Cricket Championship for the Deaf has been a grand success only because of his continued support and commitment to promoting inclusive sports,” said IDCA president Sumit Jain.

Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) was founded in 2020 by Sumit Jain, vice president & member of DCCI (Differently Abled Cricket Committee, BCCI). IDCA is committed to developing cricket among deaf athletes in India and providing them with opportunities at state, national, and international levels.

IDCA is the governing body for Deaf Cricket in India and is a member of DICC (Deaf International Cricket Council), working closely with ICC to promote equal opportunities and full participation of deaf cricketers globally.
Prior to IDCA, the Deaf Cricket Society (established in 2012) nurtured and trained thousands of hearing-impaired cricketers, enabling them to participate in state, national, and international tournaments.
