Telangana’s Jagan Mohan Reddy stole the show with two gold and two silver medals at the 22nd National Masters Swimming Championship 2026 in Haryana recently.
Jagan Mohan Reddy bagged two gold and two silver medals in the men’s 77 to 79 years age category. Jagan Mohan Reddy won gold in the 400m individual medlay and the 200m butterfly events. His silver medals were from the 100m butterfly and 400m freestyle events.
Bandari Ashok won a silver in the 200m backstroke event.
In the women’s category, Archana Muthyala won a silver and a bronze. She claimed the silver in the 50m backstroke and won the bronze in the 50m freestyle event.
Preeti Ramdas too took home a silver and a bronze medal. She came second in the 50m butterfly and won the bronze in the 400m freestyle event.
The Telangana Swimming Association (TSA) on Tuesday felicitated 15 Masters swimmers who represented the state at the championship.
The Telangana contingent participated in various swimming events and age categories at the National championship, demonstrating their commitment, competitive spirit and passion for the sport. Their participation highlights the growing interest in Masters swimming in Telangana and the continued pursuit of excellence by swimmers across age groups.
Results: 80+ men: Suresh Kumar Verma (200m backstroke bronze & 100m freestyle bronze).
77 to 79 years men: Jagan Mohan Reddy (400m IM gold, 200m butterfly gold, 100m butterfly silver & 400m freestyle silver).
70 to 74 years men: Bandari Ashok (200m backstroke silver).
45 to 49 years men: Ajith Sudershan (200m freestyle bronze, 4x50m medley relay bronze).
25 to 29 years men: Raparthi Prashanth (4x50m medley relay bronze).
30 to 34 years men: Syed Musa (4x50m medley relay bronze).
30 to 34 years men: E Abhinav Reddy (4x50m medley relay bronze).
40 to 44 years women: Archana Muthyala (50m backstroke silver & 50m freestyle bronze).
40 to 44 years women: Preeti Ramdas (50m butterfly silver & 400m freestyle bronze).
40 to 44 years women: Nagaswati Putta (100m freestyle 4th position).
35 to 39 years women: Megha Shukla (100m butterfly 4th position).
65 to 69 years women: K Ranjita Rao (200m backstroke 4th position).
