St Francis College for Women (Begumpet) emerged victorious as they clinched the overall championship at the Osmania University Inter-College Swimming Championship, conducted by Badruka College of Commerce and Arts, at the GHMC Swimming Pool in Amberpet, Hyderabad.
St Francis College swimmers set the pool on fire on way to claim the championship with 15 points.
On the individual front, Sudiksha Krishna of Tapas College hogged the limelight with three gold medals. Sudiksha was just unstoppable on the day as she won the 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle events.
Saharsha, Nipunitha shine
G Saharsha of St Francis College took home two gold medals a silver. She won the 50m breaststroke and the 200m freestyle events. She finished second in the 50m freestyle event.
Sudhiksha Krishna of Tapas College hogged the limelight with three gold medals
P Nipunitha of CBIT too bagged two gold and a silver medal. She won the 50m backstroke and 100m backstroke events, while coming second in the 100m freestyle.
Anya Parikh of St Francis finished the championship with two silver and a bronze medal. She was second in the 50m backstroke and 100m backstroke events, while bagging the bronze medal in the 50m freestyle event.
