Nida, Ume, Aleena, Hema, Aqsa, Kulsum steal the thunder in Wushu Women’s League

Nida Begum won the gold medal in the Senior Sanda 45kg category at the Asmita Khelo India Wushu Women’s League in Hyderabad.

Ayesha Begum came in second, while Neha Sharma completed the podium with a bronze.

In Sub-junior Group C, Ume Hala won the gold in the Changquan event. She was followed by Khatija and Diya Jain.

Aleena Tajwar bagged the yellow metal in the Sub-Junior Group B Jianshu event. Srijani finished second, while Shravya came in third.

In the Sub-Junior Sanda 39 kg event, Hema Varjan took the honours, while Syede Uzama and Aleena came in second and third respectively.

In the Sub-Junior Sanda 56 kg category, Aqsa bagged the gold, while Areen came in second. Sadiya and Irfa won the bronze medals.

In the Junior Sanda 65 kg event, Kulsum Mumtaz was placed first, while Aleena Fatima took home the silver. Aleena AJK was third.

The outstanding performances of these young women athletes highlight the growing strength and talent of Wushu in Telangana.

Results: Sub-Junior Group C: Changquan: 1. Ume Hala, 2. Khatija, 3. Diya Jain.

Sub-Junior Group B: Jianshu: 1. Aleena Tajwar, 2. Srijani, 3. Shravya.

Sub-Junior Sanda 39 kg: 1. Hema Varjan, 2. Syede Uzama, 3. Aleena and Aditya Sree.

Sub-Junior Sanda 56 kg: 1. Aqsa, 2. Areen, 3. Sadiya and Ifra.

Junior Sanda 56 kg: 1. Pdwija Yadav, 2. Aaliya, 3. Umaiza.

Junior Sanda 65 kg:  1. Kulsum Mumtaz, 2. Aleena Fatima, 3. Aleena AJK.

Senior Sanda 45 kg: 1. Nida Bagum, 2. Ayesha Begum, 3. Neha Sharma.
