As Niruti Sud Bajaj lines up at the start of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, she won’t just be chasing another finish line. For the founder of StreeFit, a Gurgaon-based women’s fitness and wellness community, the race represents the third chapter of her Procam Slam journey, bringing her one step closer to completing the prestigious Procam Slam. But beyond the medal, her story is one of resilience, rediscovery and empowering thousands of women to put their own health and well-being first.
Registrations for Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon begins on July 23, race to be held on Oct 18
For Niruti, the Procam Slam is another milestone in a journey that has been built on consistency rather than speed. Having already completed the Tata Mumbai Marathon and TCS World 10K Bengaluru, she will complete the slam with the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata after the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon.

Along the way, she has also served as a running pacer at multiple events, helping fellow runners achieve their own goals while continuing to push her own limits. “I’ve been running for the last three to four years and have paced a number of runs across Delhi NCR. I’ve paced both the 10K and the half marathon, and now I’m looking forward to completing the Procam slam this year,” she says.
The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon holds a special place in that journey. Having experienced the event as both a runner and a pacer, Niruti is familiar with the atmosphere and support that surround the race. “The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon is special because it is a race I have experienced both as a runner and as a pacer. The energy on the route, the support from the crowd and the overall organisation make it a very memorable experience,” says Niruti.
Niruti overcame health challenges
An IT professional by profession and an endurance athlete by passion, Niruti is a triathlete, marathon runner and running pacer who founded StreeFit in 2019 after overcoming health challenges following her second pregnancy.
“After my second pregnancy, I had a lot of health issues. Somehow, I overcame those with the help of yoga and that’s when I realised women are actually not giving importance to themselves, which they should. At the end of the day, you have to take your own health into your own hands,” she says.

That personal experience became the catalyst for StreeFit, a community dedicated to helping women prioritise their physical and mental well-being.
What began with yoga sessions has today evolved into one of NCR’s most vibrant women’s fitness communities. StreeFit now has over 2,000 members and regularly organises free practice runs, strength training sessions, forest walks, nature hikes and trekking expeditions, creating a safe and encouraging environment for women to embrace an active lifestyle.
“The sole purpose was to provide a platform for women and tell them that their health—both mental and physical—is equally important. We started with yoga sessions and slowly moved towards running. Running actually happened by chance, but today it has become a way of life for so many women in our community,” says Niruti.
Enjoy the process, says Niruti
As runners prepare to take on the iconic streets of Delhi, Niruti has a simple message. “Nowadays, because of social media pressure, everybody is focusing on timing. I feel we should simply enjoy the process. We should focus on our running, our heart rate and how well we are training rather than just focusing on timings.”

For her, the race is ultimately about embracing the experience rather than becoming consumed by the clock. “Just enjoy the run and just don’t focus on your timings. Just relax and just go ahead.”
For Niruti Sud Bajaj, every kilometre covered at the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon is about much more than personal achievement. It is another opportunity to inspire women to take that first step, discover their own strength and realise that investing in their health is not a luxury—it is a necessity. Through StreeFit, she continues to prove that when one woman chooses herself, she empowers thousands of others to do the same.
