The Telangana Canoe Sprint team delivered an impressive performance by securing multiple medals at the Asmita Canoe Sprint National Championships held in Bhopal on August 8 and 9, 2026.
The Telangana paddlers demonstrated excellent skill, determination and teamwork, bringing home winning medals in canoe and kayak events. They bagged three gold, three silver and a bronze medal.
P Jaswika and K Anusha bagged the gold in the canoe double, while K Bindu, P Jaswika, R Reka and K Anusha clinched the yellow metal in the canoe four category. The third gold was bagged by M Bindu and P Jaswika in the 500 metres canoe double
N Bindu won the silver in the canoe single, while M Chandan, Sravanthi, Avanthika and Sindhu won the silver in the kayak four and K Anusha bagged a silver in the 500 metres canoe single event.
The bronze was won by M Chandan in the kayak single.
The outstanding medal haul reflects the hard work, dedication and competitive spirit of the Telangana paddlers.
The athletes’ strong performances at the national level have brought pride to Telangana and highlighted the growing strength of canoe sprint in the state.
