Bhavan’s Sri Aurobindo College organized a grand felicitation ceremony in honour of its student and talented cricketer Yashveer Goud, who has been selected to represent the Indian Under-19 cricket team in the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka.
At a special function held on the college campus, Yashveer Goud and his parents were felicitated by the management. Addressing the gathering, principal Dr P Ramu described Yashveer’s selection to the national Under-19 team as a proud moment for Bhavan’s College and an inspiration to aspiring sportspersons.
The principal emphasized that achievements earned through hard work, dedication, and perseverance create a lasting impact in life. He lauded Yashveer’s discipline, commitment, and consistent efforts, which enabled him to earn a place in the national squad. He expressed hope that Yashveer would go on to represent the Indian senior team and bring greater glory to the country.

Dr Ramu also appreciated cricket chief coach Krishna Mohan for his significant contribution in identifying and nurturing young cricketing talent and for his dedicated efforts in developing sports excellence at the institution.
Faculty members, students, sportspersons, and parents attended the event and extended their best wishes to Yashveer Goud. Participants described his selection to the India Under-19 team for the Sri Lanka ODI series as a moment of immense pride for both Bhavan’s College and Telangana.
Prior to the felicitation, Yashveer visited the residence of Bhavan’s College vice chairman JLN Sastry and received his blessings. Congratulating the young cricketer, JLN Sastry expressed happiness over his achievement and wished him greater success in the future. He remarked that students should never lose their humility and discipline, irrespective of how high they rise in their chosen fields.
Group Captain (Retd) D Ramanayya, secretary of Bhavan’s College, stated that the institution remains committed to encouraging and supporting students who excel in sports and expressed confidence that Yashveer would continue to bring laurels to the nation.
