Narayana slams 95 to set up Combined Dists’ 35-run win over School of Cricket Academy

Narayana Teja missed out on a well-deserved century, but his effort helped Hyderabad Cricket Association’s (HCA) Combined Districts post a 35-run win over School of Cricket Academy in their tour of Sri Lanka on Sunday.

Put into bat, Combined Districts ran up a healthy 194 for five in 20 overs. Narayana Teja scored a 52-ball 95. G Sai Krishna lent him admirable support with a 45-ball 74. Kavindu Amarsinha took three for 28 to restrict the Combined Districts’ total.

In reply, School of Cricket Academy failed to keep pace with the asking rate and were restricted to 159 for seven in their 20 overs. Deneth Duminda topscored with a 59 off 54 balls and Vinod Danushka made 49 off 25 balls.

For Combined Districts, Pavan Raj took three for 16 and Azhar bagged three for 24.
