Top cueists, including Advani, land in Ludhaina for pool National Championships

The country’s top cueists, including multiple-time World champion Pankaj Advani, have descended on Ludhiana in Punjab for the pool National Championships that gets underway at the Rotary Bhawan on Tuesday.

Competition will be held for men, women and juniors (Under-21 boys and girls) in both the 9-ball and 10-ball events.

Sundeep Gulati, the 9-ball title-holder in the men’s section, and Vidya Pillai, the double winner in the women’s section, will not be around to defend their titles.

Maharashtra’s Shivam Arora (10-ball winner) and Chitra Magimairaj of Karnataka will start as favourites in the men’s and women’s sections respectively.
