Thakshil Erroju’s all-round show powered Karimnagar to a 106-run victory over Medak in the final of the HCA’s Under-19 Men’s Inter-District One-day Tournament on Saturday.
Batting first, Karimnagar made a competitive 260 in 39.5 overs with Thakshil scoring 145 of those off 104 balls. He struck 20 fours and two sixes. B Hishanth took for for 51 for Medak.
In reply, Medak were bowled out for 154 as Syyed Ahmed Aqdaam took three for 17 and Thakshil bagged three for 34. K Vignesh scored 36 for the losers.

HMWS&SB post big win, TGRSTC win by two runs
Ankit Bhatnagar and Y Nava Bharat helped HMWS&SB to an 86-run victory over National Insurance in the HCA’s D Division (Institution) League.
Batting first, HMWS&SB made a competitive 181 for six in 20 overs with Ankit Bhatnagar scoring 78 and S Mahesh Singh making 37.
In reply, National Insurance were restricted to 95 for nine in their 20 overs with Nava Bharat claiming four for 26.
In another match, TGSRTC held their nerves to eke out a narrow two-run win over IICT.
TGSRTC, batting first, made 191 for three with V Sai Kiran scoring 68, while D Anil Kumar made an unbeaten 48 and Nagaraju remaining not out on 38.
In reply, IICT fought well but fell short of the target by three runs. They were restricted to 189 for eight in 25 overs.
