Telangana win 6 medals, including a gold, at 5th India Open International Kickboxing Cup

Athletes from Raion Martial Arts Academy, Telangana, delivered an exceptional performance at the 5th India Open International Kickboxing Cup 2026, held at Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi from February 4 to 8.

Competing against participants from 10 countries, the Telangana-based academy made the state and nation proud as three of its athletes represented India at the international level and secured multiple medals.

Vishnu Govind A won a gold and a silver in the senior category, while Virender Vissamsetti bagged two bronze medals in the senior category. In the junior category, Jashwan Sudabattula won two silver medals.

This achievement was possible due to the visionary leadership of Naresh Mudavath, founder & chairman of Raion Martial Arts Academy, and the dedicated coaching and training provided by coach Ramba Venkateshwar Rao.

This remarkable success highlights Telangana’s growing presence in international martial arts and reflects the academy’s commitment to nurturing world-class athletes from the state.

Results: Vishnu Govind A (senior category): Kick Light (gold), Light Contact (silver).

Virender Vissamsetti (senior category): Kick Light (bronze), Light Contact (bronze).

Jashwan Sudabattula (junior category): Kick Light (silver), Light Contact (Silver).
