Siddhant Bantia and Alexander Donski win ATP Challenger doubles title in Portugal

The Indo-Bulgarian pair Siddhanth Bantia and Alexander Donski won the doubles title at Oeiras Open 4 2026, an ATP Challenger 100 tennis tournament, in Portugal on Saturday.

The unseeded pair beat Portugal’s Tiago Pereira and Spain’s David Vega Hernandez 6-3, 6-2 in the final, wrapping up the contest in one hour and three minutes on the clay court. Bantia and Donski had to stave off a late challenge in the opening set. After earning the decisive break in the fourth game, they saved a breakpoint while serving for the set at 5-3 before closing it out in 32 minutes.

Carrying that momentum into the second set, the Indo-Bulgarian pair broke serve in the third and seventh games to complete a victory. The title was Banthia’s second ATP Challenger doubles crown of the season and third overall, all won alongside Donski. It was also the fourth doubles title of the Bulgarian’s career.

Earlier this year, Banthia and Donski won the doubles title at the Delhi Open ATP Challenger 75 tournament, defeating India’s Niki Poonacha and Thailand’s Pruchya Isaro in the final.

On their way to the title in Portugal, Banthia and Donski received a walkover in the opening round. They then beat Romania’s Alexandru Jecan and Bogdan Pavel 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinals and cruised past second seeds Gonzalo Escobar of Ecuador and Mariano Kestelboim of Argentina 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinals.
