Shivasena Reddy, chairman of the Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS), on Friday said that the arrangements for the 1st Legislative Members Sports Festival at the Lal Bahadur Stadium have been completed. The sports festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday, Shivasena Reddy and SATS MD Dr Sonibala Devil inspected the arrangements for the sports meet, which will be held at the Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad.

Shivasena Reddy stated that entry will be free for all spectators, and all necessary facilities have been arranged.
He said, under the directions of Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy, these sports events are being organized to promote awareness and interest in sports among all sections of society in the state. He added that the program will be effectively used to build a sports culture across Telangana.

He also said that for the first time since the formation of Telangana state nearly 14 years ago such a sports event is being conducted. It is encouraging that legislators and members of the Legislative Council from all political parties are participating without any differences.
The inaugural events will include tug of war, football, cricket, athletics, kabaddi, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, along with some recreational sports competitions.
