After a barren first quarter, SAI managed to breach the rival fortress with a goal in the 29th minute. Nitesh Sharma beat the rival goalie to put his side 1-0 up.

Three minutes later, Deepak Singh Fartyal made it 2-0 as the PSB fortress again fell. However, PSB struck back with Sukhwinder Singh scoring in the 34th minute. Shivam Patel made it 3-1 in the 43rd minute as SAI ensured a comfortable win.
