Parthiv bagged the boys’ singles title without much ado as he defeated Daivik Kalvakunta in straight sets. On the other hand, Aniha had to battle past a fighting ASR Bavyasri in a thrilling three-set battle.

The boys’ doubles title was won by Harsh Marwaha and Heet Kandoriya, who defeated Sumit Undre and Nikunj Khurana, while the girls’ doubles title was bagged by K Nalyaazhini and Pooja Nagaraj as they defeated Myra Shaikh and Aneeksha Gavinolla 6-4, 6-3.

Daivik got the better of Uday Y Athunuru in straight sets at 7-5, 6-3. Uday put up a great fight in the first set to stretch Daivik but after losing it, he lost steam and failed to make it count.

Harsh and Heet win boys’ doubles final

The doubles final was quite a keenly contested fight as both teams put up a robust performance. In a thrilling first set, Smit and Nikunj managed to edge out Harsh and Heet 7-6 (8) to take an early advantage in the contest.

However, Harsh and Heet rolled up their sleeves and came back strongly. They took the second set at 6-3 to push the game into the decider. Harsh and Heet then cruised to a comfortable 10-4 win to clinch the title.

Aniha edges Bavyasri in three sets

In the girls’ singles final, two unseeded players battled for honours. The game was well-fought as both players put their best foot forward. Aniha was off the blocks quickly as he cruised to a 6-1 in the first set, but Bavyasri was in no mood to concede the match so easily.

Bavyasri came back strongly to push Aniha to the corner as she won the second set at 6-4 and push the tie into the decider. In the final set, Aniha, however, upped the ante to shut out Bavyasri’s challenge. Aniha took the set at 6-3 to claim the top honours.

In the semifinals, Bavyasri pulled off a major upset as she defeated fourth seed Sanidya Karantoth in another three-setter.  The fourth seeded Sanidya began well but was pushed hard by Bavyasri. However, Sanidya managed to edge to a 7-6(5) win but, thereafter, it was Bavyasri who called the shots.

Bavyasri ramped up her game as she toyed with Sanidya in the next two sets. Bavyasri won 6-3, 6-3 to book her place in the final.

Aniha too snuffed out the aspirations of seventh seed Aayushri Tarange in straight sets. Aniha cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
