Parthiv and Nikhsith hammer tons to fashion Oxford Blues’ 393-run win over National

G Parthiv Varma and Avula Nikhsith struck centuries to fashion Oxford Blues 393-run win over National on the second day of the sixth-round HCA B Division (2-day) League Championship in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Batting first, Oxford Blues ran up a huge 473 with Parthiv Varma scoring 138 off 146 balls with 22 fours and Nikhsith making 114 off just 89 balls with 15 fours and two sixes.

In reply, National were bowled out for a lowly 80 with Y Harry Stanes taking four for 24 and N Naveen Kumar getting three for one.

Thalari Deekshit was the star performer of the day with the cherry. He took seven for 47 to help PKMCC post a 68-run win over Hyderabad Blues.

Arjun NC

Arjun NC hit an unbeaten century but his effort went in vain as Cheerful Chums succumbed to a 177-run loss to Chetan Anand CA.

Replying to Chetan Anand CA’s massive 419 for nine, Cheerful Chums could reach 242 with Arjun hitting 106 of those with 14 fours and four sixes.

A Laxman

Siddharth Gutta bowled Jai Bhagwathi to a 93-run win over Karimnagar District. Chasing 263 for victory, Karimnagar were bowled out for 169 with Siddharth taking five for 51.

Ayaan Abdullah helped Ensconse post a 29-run win over Kosaraju. Needing 213 for victory, Kosaraju fought hard but could reach 183 only as Ayaan Abdullah took five for 30.

Dheeraj powered Future Star to a massive 405-run win over Concorde.

K Akhil

After posting 445 on the board, Future Star bowlers came hard at Concorde and bowled them out for a lowly 40 with Dheeraj taking six for 11 in 8.1 overs.

K Akhil took six wickets to help Mahmood post a massive 393-run win over Raju Cricket Club. Akhil took six for 11 in 9 overs as Raju, replying to Mahmood’s 508 for four, were bowled out for 115.

Charan Teja missed out on a century as his effort fell short for CCOB, who crashed to a 409-run win against Team Speed. Charan Teja fell for 98 as CCOB were bowled out for 337, replying to Team Speed’s 746 for eight.
