Par-Timers & Jaagruthi Jaguars top Pool A & B respectively at T9 Challenge Season 4

After Round 1 of T9 Challenge Season 4 on Saturday at the Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club, Hyderabad, Par-Timers emerged as the leaders of Pool A with a score of -3.5, followed by Bunker Busters and VSoft Titans at -3.0. In Pool B, Jaagruthi Jaguars secured the top position with -2.5, while Fairway Warriors occupied second place with -2.0.

As per the tournament format, the top two teams from each pool will qualify for the knockout stage, placing Par-Timers, Bunker Busters, Jaagruthi Jaguars, and Fairway Warriors in the qualification zone after the opening round.

With 12 teams, 108 golfers, and an exciting league format, T9 Challenge Season 4 promises a memorable season of competitive golf and sporting excellence at Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club.

T9 Challenge Season 4 will feature 12 teams with nine members in each team. The tournament will be conducted in a round-robin format followed by knockout rounds.

A key highlight of the evening was the introduction of the participating teams and the presentation of participation mementos. Dr NRN Reddy presented commemorative mementos to all twelve teams as a token of appreciation.

The participating teams include Bunker Busters, Novotel Stars, Chamundi Boulder Hills Tigers, Fairway Warriors, Hyderabad Golfers’ United, Jaagruthi Jaguars, VSoft Titans, Rajapushpa Invicta, Ardee Iron Eagles, Dasos by Mahi, Sree Metrix Eagles, and Par-Timers.

Adding excitement to the event, team pooling was conducted through a series of fun and engaging activities, including arm wrestling, paper airplane contests, bottle-up challenges, putting and chipping games, and other interactive competitions. The results were processed through a specially designed digital pooling and scoring application to generate the league fixtures and pool allocations.

T9 Challenge launched

Earlier, TGolf Foundation officially launched T9 Challenge – Season 4 with an impressive opening ceremony at the Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club, Hyderabad.

The event brought together distinguished guests, team owners, captains, players, sponsors, and golf enthusiasts, marking the beginning of another exciting season of competitive golf. Inspired by the T20 format of cricket, T9 Challenge transforms golf into a fast-paced and exciting 9-hole league competition.

The ceremony commenced with a welcome message by Prashanth Reddy, deputy general manager, TGolf Alliance, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the growing significance of the T9 Challenge as a premier team-based golf league that promotes competition, camaraderie, networking, and sportsmanship.

Addressing the gathering, Dr NRN Reddy, president & CEO – TGolf Foundation shared the vision behind TGolf and emphasized the role of golf in fostering excellence, leadership, teamwork, and healthy competition. He noted that the T9 Challenge has evolved into one of the most anticipated golf leagues, bringing together golfers from diverse professional backgrounds while strengthening the golfing community.

Madhusudhan Rao, CFO & business head – Emaar Properties, Hyderabad congratulated Tgolf for successfully organizing the league and extended his best wishes to all participating teams and players.

Papi Reddy, general manager – TGolf Alliance & Rules official presented the conditions of play and explained the tournament format.

One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the unveiling of the T9 Challenge Season 4 Trophy by Guest of Honor – V Chamundeswaranath, representative of the Indian Cricketers Association (ICA) on the BCCI Apex Council. The trophy symbolizes excellence, teamwork, perseverance, and sporting spirit, which are the hallmarks of the league.

Guest of Honor – Brigadier Rahul Machhral, commandant, Artillery Centre, Hyderabad interacted with the golfers and motivated the participants, encouraging them to play with discipline, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the season.
