Nikhil and Srinivas set up Canara Bank’s big win, Radhakrishna shines for Air India

S Nikhil Kumar and G Srinivas Rao set up Canara Bank’s thumping 10-wicket win over TG CAB in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s (HCA) D Division (Institution) one-day league championship in Hyderabad.

Batting first, TG CAB were unable to counter the Canara Bank bowlers and were bundled out for a lowly 72 in just 16.4 overs. Nikhil took five for 12 in four overs and Srinivas Rao bagged three for 10. K Ramakrishna waged a lone battle with 32.

In reply, Canara Bank romped home in just 8.2 overs as they ran up 73 without loss. Southpaw G Arvind Kumar made an unbeaten 46.

In another match, B Radhakrishna’s all-round performance helped Air India score a comfortable 80-run win over OMC.

Radhakrishna made 68 and M Prabhu Kiran contributed 49 as Air India, batting first, made 171 for five in 20 overs.

OMC failed to match up and were bundled out for 91 with Radhakrishna claiming five for nine in three overs.

Brief scores: Air India 171/5 in 20 overs (M Prabhu Kiran 49, B Radhakrishna 68) beat OMC 91 in 16.1 overs (B Radhakrishna 5/9).

TGCAB 72 in 16.4 overs (K Ramakrishna 32, S Nikhil Kumar 5/12, G Srinivas Rao 3/10) lost to Canara Bank 73 for no loss in 8.2 overs (G Arvind Kumar 46 not out).
