Jaipur edge Opetiemus 8-7 to reach Kognivera Cup final against V Polo

Jaipur Polo Team edged past Optiemus Achievers 8–7 in a fiercely contested semifinal to seal their place in the final of the Kognivera Polo Cup. The encounter witnessed shifting momentum across all four chukkers, with both teams exchanging goals in a high-intensity contest.

Jaipur Polo Team will face V Polo in the final of the Kognivera Cup at 3.30 pm on Sunday.

Jaipur displayed greater composure in the decisive moments, while Optiemus relied heavily on their powerful striking duo.  Ultimately, a balanced attacking effort led by Lance Watson and Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh proved decisive for Jaipur.

Optiemus Achievers opened the scoring early through Daniel Otamendi, who struck twice in the opening chukker at 2:40 and 5:40. Jaipur responded with a goal from Lance Watson at 7:05, ending the first chukker trailing narrowly at 1–2.

Jaipur found their rhythm in the second chukker, levelling the score through Padmanabh Singh at 1:50 and Lance Watson at 7:05. Optiemus answered through Dhruvpal Godara at 4:00, as the teams went into halftime locked at 3–3.

The third chukker saw Jaipur come out with renewed intensity. Padmanabh Singh delivered a dominant performance, scoring four goals at 0:45, 5:05, 6:00 and 6:30, while Lance Watson added another at 7:05. Jaipur surged ahead to take an 8–3 lead at the end of the third chukker.

Optiemus mounted a spirited comeback in the final chukker, with Dhruvpal Godara scoring three goals and Shamsheer Ali adding one more. Despite the late pressure, Jaipur held firm to close out the match 8–7 and progress to the final of the Kognivera Cup.

Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur emerged as the top scorer of the match with five goals, while Lance Watson provided strong support with three goals.
