Hyderabad’s talented young shooter Kodavali Tanishq Muralidhar Naidu has once again brought laurels to the state of Telangana with an exceptional performance at the prestigious Kumar Surendra Singh Shooting Championship which is underway in Bhopal.
Representing Telangana, Tanishq clinched the gold medal in the 25 metre Standard Pistol junior men’s event and also secured the silver medal in the 25 metre Standard Pistol men’s event, competing against some of the best shooters in the country.
A multiple-time international medal winner for India, Tanishq continues to establish himself as one of the country’s most promising pistol shooters.
Speaking after his achievement, Tanishq said: “I am very happy to win gold and silver for Telangana at such a prestigious championship. The competition was very strong, and these medals motivate me to work even harder for upcoming national and international events. I am thankful to my coaches, my family, Gun For Glory, and everyone who has supported me throughout my journey.”

His mother, Anuradha, expressed pride in his achievement, saying: “We are extremely proud of Tanishq and his dedication to the sport. It is wonderful to see his hard work translating into results at the national level.”
Tanishq’s father, Srinivas, who served in the Indian Navy, has also been a strong pillar of support throughout his sporting career.
With this outstanding performance, Tanishq continues to strengthen Telangana’s reputation in Indian shooting and remains a strong prospect for future international success.
Tanishq trains at Gun For Glory Academy
Tanishq trains at the Gun for Glory Shooting Academy in Gachibowli, which operates from the Sports Authority of Telangana Shooting Ranges in Serilingampally. The academy was founded by Olympic medalist Gagan Narang and Pawan Singh, who currently serves as the secretary general of the National Rifle Association of India.
Tanishq is part of the academy’s prestigious Project Leap high-performance program and is also supported under the government of India’s Khelo India scheme.
