Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) had taken a big ‘inclusive’ step for the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals IPL match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday.

The HCA gave free passes for as many as 30 differently abled persons to watch the IPL match. The move brought great cheers to the differently abled persons as they were able to watch the match live in the stadium. It proved a new experience for them and their enthusiasm was especially visible in the gallery.

On this occasion, HCA secretary Manne Jeevan Reddy watched the match along with the Divyangs in the gallery. Sports lovers and others were appreciative of the HCA’s decision to make cricket accessible to every section of the society.

This season, 30 differently abled people will be given free complimentary passes for every IPL match, says an HCA release.

No more power outages, says HCA

In a related development, during the Indian Premier League match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Monday evening, two floodlight towers experienced a brief outage lasting approximately eight seconds.

Upon inspection, both the generator’s electronic panel and the flood lighting panel were found to be functioning normally. The technical team identified the issue as a fault in a specialized DMX device that connects and controls the lighting network. The device was promptly reset, restoring normal operations. There was no interruption in power supply from Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited, says an HCA release.

All systems are currently stable, and engineers along with operators are continuously monitoring the setup to prevent recurrence. We are also taking additional measures to further enhance the viewer experience.

We sincerely thank the people of Hyderabad for their continued support, the HCA officials stated.
