Charminar Chargers will take on Birla Blazers in the girls’ final, while Golconda Gladiators will clash against Secunderabad Stallions in the boys’ final of the Sub-Junior section of the Sub-Junior & Youth League 2026 for boys & girls conducted by The Hyderabad District Basketball Association at YMCA Secunderabad.
On Tuesday, Charminar Chargers charged into the final with a convincing 38-24 win over Secunderabad Stallions, while Golconda Gladiators trounced Birla Blazers 67-42.

After a rain induced delayed start, Charminar Chargers and Secunderabad Stallions found it hard to come to terms with the conditions on the court. Both teams missed easy baskets but Saanvika of Charminar Chargers scored 4 points to edge past Secunderabad Stallions 5-3 at end of the first quarter.
With a tight defense Secunderabad Stallions restricted Charminar Chargers to just 1 point and piled up nine points through Lasya and Nakshatra thereby leading 16-6 at half-time.
After change of ends, Charminar Chargers regrouped and played a fast-paced game. Saanvika with good support from Anika and Viya went on to score 17 points. On the other hand, Secunderabad Stallions were restricted to just 4 points and, thereby, regained the lead. Chargers led 23-16 at the end of the third quarter.
In the last quarter, Charminar Chargers dominated the proceedings. They added another 15 points to their tally and won the match comfortably 38-24.
Golconda down Birla
In the boys’ match, which was a well-contested one, both teams matched basket to basket at the start. Rishon and Trishul played well for Birla Blazers whereas Manideep and Moksha did well for Golconda Gladiators.
Aided by two 3-pointers, one each from Mohd Rahman and Manideep, Golconda Gladiators led 21-15 at the end of the first quarter.
In a low scoring second quarter, both teams scored 8 and 7 points respectively as Golconda Gladiators maintained their lead 29-22 at half-time.
After the lemon break both teams tightened their defense, but Manideep’s 3-pointer and drive-in shot enabled Golconda Glaidators to increase their lead adding 11 points to the tally against 5 points scored by Birla Blazers. Golconda Gladiators led 40-27 at the end of the third quarter.
In a thrilling last quarter, Birla Blazers tried hard for a comeback through Rishon and Trishul playing in tandem. However, Manideep, Ansh and Itihas were just unstoppable and scored at will. They added another 27 points to their score to win the match comfortably 67-42.
Results: Charminar Chargers 38 (Saanvika 14, Aairah 9, Saniddhya 6) beat Secunderabad Stallions 24 (Saanvika 8, Lasya 5, Sharmista 4) HT: 7-16.
Golconda Gladiators 67 (Manideep 19, Itihas 16, Ansh 14, Rahman 9) beat Birla Blazers 42 (Rishon 18, Trishul 10, Bhavyesh 8, Pasha 5) HT: 29-22.
