Future Kids School hoopsters brooked no challenge as they swept the finals in the Under-14 and Under-19 boys’ and girls’ categories at the Rising Stars Basketball Championship at St Joseph’s School in Habsiguda, Hyderabad.
In the Under-14 girls’ category, Future Kids School edged out NASR School 10-9 in a thrilling final. Both teams had entered the final with resounding victories in the semifinals. Future Kids School defeated SJPS Vanasthalipuram 24-13, while NASR School shut out Holy Family 24-16.
In the Under-14 boys’ final, Future Kids School defeated YMCA 26-19 in a match which Future Kids dominated. In the semifinals, Future Kids overcame SJPS-KK 19-14 and YMCA overcame a fighting Brother Academy 14-10.
In the Under-19 girls’ final, Future Kids School thrashed Johnson Grammar School 28-18. In the semifinals, Future Kids had a tough time against NASR School before winning 34-29. Johnson Grammar School too had to fight past DPS 34-28.
In the Under-19 boys’ category, Future Kids School defeated Teen Titans 45-38 in the final. In the semifinals, Future Kids School overcame SJPS-KK 32-28 and Teen Titans got the better of KVBR Stadium 42-34.
