SCR footballer Chandrasekhar killed in road accident, TFA condoles untimely death

In a tragic accident, South Central Railway footballer W Chandrasekhar was killed. The 35-year-old former National player also lost his wife Rekha (33 years) and nephew Nihal in the road accident. His son Lohit was hospitalized with serious injuries and is undergoing treatment.

The Telangana Football Association (TFA) expressed its deepest regrets over the tragic incident. A condolence meeting was held at the Telangana Football Association office at 5 pm on Thursday. The meeting was attended by coaches, referees, and office-bearers to honour Chandrasekhar’s memory.

Shabbir, Victor condole Chandrasekhar’s death

Former Indian football captains Shabbir Ali and Victor Amalraj expressed their deepest sorrow over the death of Chandrasekhar.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Chandra Shekar, a distinguished footballer,” Victor said. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. May Almighty God grant strength and courage to the family during this difficult time, and may the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” said Victor.
