Aniketh bags six and Tanay get 4 as Hyderabad cruise to a 184-run victory over Kerala

G Aniketh Reddy and Tanay Thyagarajan bowled Hyderabad to a 184-run win over Kerala in their practice match in Hyderabad on Sunday.

After taking a 211-run lead, Hyderabad made 173 in their second innings with Tanay Thayagarajan scoring 61. Abhishek J Nair took four for 37 and Jalaj Saxena bagged three for 30.

Chasing 385 for victory, Kerala faltered yet again against the spin twins of Hyderabad. They were bowled out for 200 with Abhishek J Nair making 58 and Sachin Baby scoring 53. Aniketh Reddy, who took four for 36 in the first innings, did the most damage with a six for 47 haul. Tanay bagged four for 70.

Subham misses ton, puts Bengal on top

Subham Singh missed out on a century, but his effort helped the visiting Bengal Under-23 post a competitive score on the board by the end of the first day’s play against Hyderabad on Sunday.

Batting first, Bengal ran up 301 for five thanks to Subham Singh’s 93. Anas Ali Khan scored 69 and Sumit Nag made 52. Shashank Singh was batting on 44 and giving him company was Soumyadip Manna on 30. Abhishek Murugan took three for 59 and Waif Kachchhi claimed two for 50.

Mohd Shakeel Ahmed slammed a century to set up Kishore & Sons’ 209-run win over Hyderabad Public School (Ramanthapur) in the HCA’s C Division one-day league.

Batting first, Kishore & Sons made 292 thanks to Mohd Shakeel Ahmed’s solid 110 which came off 106 balls with 15 fours and a six. In reply, HPS were bowled out for 83.

D Suraj Goud took five wickets to set up Navjeevan Friends’ three-wicket win over Tarakarama. Suraj Goud took five for 12 as Tarakarama were shot out for 100. Navjeen Friends replied with 101 for seven.

Surya Mohan took seven wickets to set up Panduranga Pai Memorial’s five-wicket win over All Saints’ Surya Mohan claimed seven for 23 as All Saints’ were bundled out for 90. Panduranga replied with 91 for five.

C Nikhil Yadav made 131 off 188 balls with 18 fours and four sixes to help Greenlands scored a five-wicket win over Kakatiya.

Vineeth Koyle made an unbeaten 126 off 152 balls with 17 fours to set up Hyderabad District’s 180-run win over St Patrick’s.

Jamsheed Hormusjee scored an 80-ball 102 with 15 fours and three sixes to help Secunderabad Club score a 90-run win over Raghavi Jathasree.
