Charminar Chargers started well with Tanishkaa, Anika and Aairah combining brilliantly and playing a fast-paced game to score 10 points in the first quarter. Secunderabad Stallions too were able to break through the rival defense, but were unable to finish off the moves with a basket. Hence, they trailed 3-10 in the first quarter.
The unique feature of this tournament saw the teams’ second five players playing the second quarter, with both the teams emphasizing more on defense and, therefore, making it a low-scoring affair.
However, Nakshatra of Secunderabad Stallions stole the show scoring 5 points and bridging the gap to 12-8 in favour of Charminar Chargers at half-time.
After the lemon break both the teams matched basket to basket. Anika and Aairah continued scoring for Charminar Chargers. However, Secunderabad Stallions were not too far behind as Sharmista and Saanvika score four points apiece. But Charminar Chargers managed to lead 23-17 at the end of the third quarter.
In the last quarter, Secunderabad Stallions tried hard to recover but Aairah scored 10 consecutive points for Charminar Chargers to seal the win in their favour. Aairah finished with 20 points to be the top scorer from either side.
