University of Madras, JNTU Kakinada, and 3 others in the lead at SZ women’s chess meet

University of Madras, SRM University, Anna University, JNTU Kakinada University and Bharatair University were leading with six points after the third round at the South Zone Inter-University Women’s Chess Championship in Visakhapatnam.

Dr NTR University, University of Calicut, VTU Belgaum, Madurai Kamaraja University and Nitti deemed to be university were behind the leaders in the second spot with five points.

The South Zone Inter-University Women’s Chess Competitions are being held under the auspices of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is being hosted by Gitam Deemed University. Krishnakanth Sahu, dean, Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, is the observer for these competitions. G V Kumar is the Chief Arbitrator and Prasad and Srikanth are the assistant Arbitrators.

Arun Karthik, associate dean of Gitam Campus Life, G Srinivas, deputy director, Gitam sports department, K Tapashvi, senior manager, Gitam sports department and others participated in the program.
