Shrivalli and Ankita storm into doubles’ final

Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty and Ankita Raina stormed into the doubles’ final of the Pune NECC Deccan $60K ITF Women’s Tennis Tournament in Pune on Friday.
Shrivalli and Ankita scored a resounding 7-5, 6-3 win over Belgium’s Polina Bakhmutkina and Maria Golovina in the semifinals.
In a closely fought first set, both set of players kept at their rivals’ heels. The Indian duo, however, managed to edge out their rivals 7-5. The next set was a much easier affair for Shrivalli and Ankita as they cruised to a 6-3 win.

In the quarterfinals, Srivalli and Ankita got the better of another Indian pair Vaishnavi Adkar and Vaidehee Chaudhari 7-6, 6-3.
