Ashwik, Mathews, Srikar, Amoghth shine

Ashwik bagged four wickets and Pranay Mathews took three for 15 as Adilabad scored a thumping nine-wicket win over Mahbubnagar in the Kaka Venkataswamy Memorial Telangana Inter-District T20 League Phase ll.

Electing to bat, Mahbubnagar were bowled out for 89 with Ashwik taking four for 11 and Mathews three for 15. In reply, Adilabad made 90 for one with A Santosh getting 52 of those without getting out.

Srikar Reddy Yedla slammed a century to set up Nizamabad’s 64-run win over Nalgonda. Srikar scored a 53-ball 100 with 13 fours and four sixes as Nizamabad ran up 218 for three. Nalgonda could manage only 154 in reply.

Amogth Divin’s 58-ball 100 helped Khammam score a 31-run win over Medak. Divin’s knock contained eight fours and an equal number of sixes as Khammam made 202 for five. They then restricted Medak to 171 for nine.

In another match, Hyderabad pulled off an exciting one-run win over Ranga Reddy.

Hyderabad 162/7 in 20 overs (Vasu Dev Sahoo 63, Pranay Aheer 35) beat Ranga Reddy 161 in 20 overs (Sathvik Peddi 63, Vadthya Akash 3/20). Khammam 202/5 in 20 overs (Amogth Divin 100, Bunny 71 no) beat Medak 171/9 in 20 overs (Bilal Hussain 48, Varun Tej 40, Shiva Nagendra Naidu 3/14, Shaik Azhar 3/40).

Nesheara bowls Sri Lanka to victory

Nesheara bowled Sri Lanka to a four-wicket victory over Vidarbha in the 19th All India Rajiv Gandhi Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament on Thursday.  Nesheara took four for 15 as Vidarbha were bowled out for 78 and Sri Lanka replied with 80 for six.

Maxwell Trevor nominated for IOA Sports Summit
