The cream of the country’s amateur golfers will compete in the IGU Maharashtra Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship, which begins at the Willingdon Club in Mumbai on Tuesday.

India No. 1 Guntas Kaur Sandhu, Ceerat Kang and Keya Badugu, who were on India duty in Indonesia last week, are in the fray in the fourth event on the IGU calendar.

Besides the country’s top three, Bengaluru’s Priya Kumari (winner of a double last week in Pune), Ojaswini Saraswat, Rashi Mishra, and Anushka Gupta (winner of the season opener), are some of the other contenders in the draw.

Competition will be held in four categories: Ladies, Category ‘A’ (15-17 years), Category ‘B’ (13-14) and Category ‘C’ (11-12).
