T Sai Suchit Reddy and Ganesh C Rao fashioned Delhi Public School’s (Nacharam) thumping 329-run win over Chirec International School (Kondapur) in the HCA’s U-14 Inter-School cricket tournament in Hyderabad on Friday.
Sai Suchit scored a 101-ball 108 with 13 boundaries and one over it. Arjun Diwakar made 83 and N Prateek remained unbeaten on 72 as DPS ran up 399 for seven. Chirec batters failed to come to the party and their reply ended before it began. Chirec were bundled out for just 70 with Ganesh C Rao bagging five for 22.
Shreyas Ande’s unbeaten century helped Gowtham World School score a 86-run win over Mahboobnagar District.
Shreyas scored 107 off 108 balls with 12 fours and two sixes as Gowtham made 232 for five. In reply, Mahboobnagar were dismissed for 146.
Harshith was unlucky to miss out on a century by the merest margin. His 99, however, helped ST Andrews High School (Suchitra) score a three-wicket win over Medak District.
G Nikil Sekhar’s five wicket haul set up St Mark’s Boys Town’s (Jahanuma) nine-wicket win over Santinos Global School (Meerpet). Sekhar took five for 25 to bowl out Santinos for 100. St Mark’s replied with 101 for one.
V Dhruv took five wickets as Hyderabad Public School (Ramanthapur) scored a 68-run win over Nagarjuna School (Vanasthalipuram). Replying to HPS’ 182, Nagarjuna School were bowled out for 114 with Dhruv taking five for 11.
Divesh Raghunandan’s all-round show powered Pallavi Model School (Alwal) to a resounding nine-wicket victory over Hyderabad Public School (Begumpet). Divesh took four for 38 as HPS were restricted to 138. In reply, Pallavi made 139 for one with Divesh remaining unbeaten on 76.
