Keystone Basketball Academy scored a double by clinching the first and second places in the Under-16 boys’ category at the 77th Republic Day 3×3 Basketball Tournament conducted by Young Men’s Guild, Secunderabad, under the technical guidance of The Hyderabad District Basketball Association at YMCA Secunderabad on Monday.
The tournament was conducted to celebrate the 77th Republic Day of the country. It was a festive occasion, and the teams made it memorable with some scintillating performances on the court
The Under-16 boys’ final was a closely fought affair with both teams battling it out with great intensity. Though both teams belonged to Keystone Basketball Academy, there was no let-up in the drive to excel. Keystone Basketball Academy A managed to eke out a hard-fought 14-12 victory over Keystone Basketball Academy B. Aryan of Keystone Basketball Academy A bagged the MVP award.
In the Under-16 girls’ final, Pushpan Kobe brooked no challenge as they romped to a comfortable 7-3 win over Keystone Basketball Academy. Dhrithi of Keystone Basketball Academy took home the MVP award.
In the Under-18 category, YMCA Hyderabad boys defeated Lover Ballers in another closely fought final. YMCA managed to eke out a hard-fought 19-17 victory to claim the honours. Ram Krish was named the MVP.
In the Under-18 girls’ section, PSA Morant defeated Pushpan Kobe 12-10. The teams fought valiantly for the crown and Morant managed to pip their rivals.
In the Under-13 boys’ final, Mantri registered a 11-8 win over SB Academy. Vihaan of Mantri was adjudged the MVP.
In the girls’ section, Keystone Basketball Academy fought off the challenge posed by YMCA Hyderabad to register a narrow one-point victory. Keystone Basketball Academy recorded a 7-6 win to claim the title. Abhashree of Keystone Basketball Academy won the MVP award.
