Avanish, Sachit and Sai Vikas hit centuries

A Avanish Rao and Sachit Binjrajka slammed centuries to help East Marredpally score a mammoth 540 for nine against Gemini Friends in the semifinals of the HCA A Division Two-day League Championship in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Batting first, East Marredpally batters went on the rampage as Sachit made a topscore 121 off 126 balls with 15 hits to the fence. Avanish scored a 87-ball 104 with the help of 15 fours and a six. S Venkat Karthik made 89 and S Rohit Reddy contributed 88 to the total. K Sriniketh bagged four for 88.

In another semifinal, Sai Vikas Reddy hit a century, but Mayank Gupta missed it as Evergreen scored 395 for eight against Deccan Wanderers. Sai made a quickfire 104-ball 133 with 10 fours and a whopping eight sixes. Mayank fell for 94 and Kunal Daswani made 61. Ashiash Srivastav took three for 86.

Nalgonda are B Division T20 champions

Adi Manikiran’s half-century set up Nalgonda District’s 36-run victory over Sportive in the final of the B Division T20 Knock-out Tournament. Batting first Nalgonda made 181 for six with Adi scoring 86 of those. In reply, Sportive were bowled out for 145.

Houzef, Maqbool hit tons; Bhanush, Jaidev, Bipin, Bharat among wickets

Mirza Houzef Baig and Mirza Maqbool Baig slammed centuries to set up Nizam Cricket Club’s 187-run win over Cosmos in the C Division knock-out tournament.

Houzef Baig made a 97-ball 146 with 25 hits to the fence and three over it, while Maqbool Baig scored an unbeaten 101 off 74 balls with 14 fours and two sixes as Nizam made 330 for five. In reply, Cosmos were rocked by Shaik Abdul Sattar who bagged six for 54. Cosmos were bowled out for 143.

C Bhanush took five for 44 for Mahaveer but his effort went in vain as Mahesh won the game by spin of coin after the sides were tied.

K Jaidev Goud took five for 33 to bowl Sagar XI to a 123-run win over Young Citizens.

B Bipin Kumar bagged five for 50 to help Southern Stars post a 31-run win over Sungrace.

T Bharat took bagged five for 10 and his effort helped Sunshine register a thumping 10-wicket win over MP Sporting.

Bunny, Abdul Rafeay shine for their teams

Bunny scored an unbeaten half-century to set up Khammam’s 75-run win over Hyderabad in the Kaka Venkataswamy Memorial Telangana Inter-District T20 League Phase ll on Tuesday. Bunny made 71 and Harshil Reddy scored 45 as Khammam ran up 182 for five. B Balaji took four for 21 for Hyderabad, who, in reply, fared badly. They were restricted to 107 for seven.

Abdul Rafeay scored an unbeaten 79 to steer Mahbubnagar to a four-wicket win over Warangal.

Aabhijay to lead Telangana Junior team
