Secunderabad Stallions recorded their second consecutive win over Tank Bund Titans 48-27 to qualify directly for the Youth boys’ semifinals in the Sub-Junior & Youth League 2026 for boys & girls, conducted by The Hyderabad District Basketball Association, at YMCA Secunderabad.
Amshul of Secunderabad Stallions was unstoppable as he tanked 15 of the 17 points scored in the first quarter. Tank Bund Titans were good in shooting as they scored three 3-pointers, but Secunderabad Stallions lead the first quarter 17-9.
In the second quarter, Tank Bund Titans could manage only 3 points. On the other hand, Charan and Aswith combined well to score 19 points as Secunderabad Stallions led 36-12 at half-time.
After the lemon break, Secunderabad Stallions continued in the same vein and scored 12 more points against the 15 scored by Tank Bund Titans. Stallions won 48-27.
In another match, Charminar Chargers scored a comfortable 43-17 win over Keesara Kings after leading 30-12 at half-time to qualify for the quarterfinals.
Blazers start campaign well
Birla Blazers started their campaign on the winning note as they blazed past Keesara Kings in the 2nd half to carve out a 43-18 win after leading 16-14 at half-time.
Pavani does the star-turn for Gladiators who pull off a thrilling 62-58 win over Stallions
Playing a fast-paced game from the start, Armaan and Krishna of Birla Blazers combined well to take a good 10-2 lead at end of first quarter. In the second quarter, Keesara Kings regrouped and aided with a 3-pointer from Rohit and Alex chipping in through drive-ins scored 12 points and with tight defense restricted Birla Blazers to just 6 points as they bridged the gap to just 2 points with Birla Blazers leading 14- 12 at half-time.
After change of ends Birla Blazers tightened their defense, restricting Keesara Kings to just 2 points and turn played a fast paced game to score 17 points with Chaitresh joining the scorers board taking a decisive 23-16 lead at end of the third quarter.
In the last quarter Birla Blazers continued the same rhythm to add another 10 points to their total winning the match 43-18.
Birla Blazers qualify for semis
Birla Blazers displayed all-round skills to trounce Charminar Chargers 61-30 after leading 40-24 at half time to qualify directly for the semifinals.
From the start, Birla Blazers played a fast-paced game as Krishna and Manas combined well to score 21 points against 15 points scored by Charminar Chargers for whom Joshua was chipping in with baskets at regular intervals.

Birla Blazers continued their scoring spree in second quarter as well with Chaitresh and Shaarav scoring through fast breaks thereby leading 40-24 at half-time.
After change of ends, Birla Blazers tightened their defense to restrict Charminar Chargers to just 1 point and in turn chipped in with 13 points to lead 53-25 at end of the third quarter. In the fourth quarter too, Birla Blazers continued their scoring spree winning the match easily 61-30.
In another match, Secunderabad Stallions had to toil hard for a hard fought 70-59 win over Golconda Gladiators after leading 27-22 at half time to start their campaign on a winning note.
Gladiators’ girls qualify for Youth final
In the Youth Girls section after a brief scare in the second quarter, Golconda Gladiators trounced Charminar Chargers 39-26 to maintain a clean slate winning all their 3 league matches. Golconda Gladiators, who were leading 19-9 at half-time, have qualified directly for the finals.
Golconda Gladiators started well with Pavani and Khushboo combining well to dominate the first quarter as Golconda Gladiators led 14-2. In the fiercely fought second quarter, Hadiya and Greeshmika (with a 3-pointer) brought some semblance to Charminar Chargers score. With a tight defense, Chargers kept Golconda Gladiators to just 5 points bridging the deficit to just 10 points as Golconda Gladiators led 19-10 at half-time.
After change of ends, Greeshmika converted a 3-pointer and Sahasra scored through a fast break to reduce the deficit to just 5 points at 18 – 23. However, Golconda Gladiators regrouped and Pavani scored 7 consecutive points to increase their lead as Golconda Gladiators led 33-18 at end of third quarter.
In the last quarter, Sahasra and Greeshmika tried hard for a comeback scoring 8 points, but the lead was too big to recover and finally Golconda Gladiators won the match 39-26. With 3 consecutive losses Charminar Chargers failed to qualify for the knock-outs.
In another match, Secunderabad Stallions came from behind to defeat Birla Blazers 56-34.
Stallions ease past Chargers
Secunderabad Stallions eased past Charminar Chargers 36-8 after being comfortably placed 20-6 at half-time.
Anya and Yakshita combined well for Secunderabad Stallions to score 11 points and did not allow Charminar Chargers to open their account.
In the second quarter, Charminar Chargers scored 6 points through Sahasra and Kavya. However, Mahima and Sudeeksha added 9 points to their tally as Secunderabad Stallions led 20-6 at half-time.
After the lemon break, Secunderabad Stallions continued in the same fashion and added another 16 points in the second half to ease past Charminar Chargers 36-8.
