Lakshmi named match referee, Jacquline & Vrinda to officiate ICC Women’s T20 WC final

Former Andhra Pradesh cricketer GS Lakshmi will be the match referee while India’s Vrinda Rathi and Jacquline Williams of Jamaica have been appointed as on-field umpires for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Final at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Sunday. Hosts England take on old rivals Australia in what promises to be an exciting finale.

Williams is officiating at her fifth Women’s T20 World Cup and was in the middle for the opening fixture on June 12, when England beat Sri Lanka at Edgbaston.

She also presided over England’s 40-run semifinal win over South Africa, as well as Australia’s crucial six-wicket victory against India in Group A.

Sunday will mark her second ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final as an on-field umpire, after also officiating in Australia’s 19-run win against South Africa in 2023.

This will be Rathi’s first final in the middle. She has also officiated in victories for both teams at the tournament, including Australia’s semifinal win against the West Indies and England’s four-wicket success against Ireland.

Kim Cotton has been named as the third umpire, with Nimali Perera on fourth umpire duty.

The match referee will be GS Lakshmi to complete the lineup. Lakshmi oversaw the opening match between England and Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka’s famous five-wicket win over New Zealand in Southampton.
