Hyderabad Bottling edge MP Colts in the Super Over, Gaurav century goes in vain

In the most thrilling game of the day, Hyderabad Bottling edged MP Colts in the Super Over in the HCA’s A Division T20 League phase of the tournament in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Batting first, MP Colts made a massive 255 for four with Gaurav Reddy scoring a 51-ball 104 with nine fours and eight sixes. Mickil Jaiswal made an unbeaten 58 and Rahul Radesh scored 50.

In reply, Hyderabad Bottling too made 255 for five and tied the game. In the resultant Super Over, Bottling made 12 without loss in their one over and then took three balls to finish MP Colts challenge, who were five for two.

Loknath, Tanmay, Anirudh, Gnana Prakash shine

Loknath Naik slammed an unbeaten century to set up Imperial’s narrow nine-run win over Sporting XI.  Imperial, who had lost to Charminar on Tuesday, made amends with an all-round show. Batting first, Imperial made 203 for one thanks to Loknath Naik’s 100 which came off 70 balls with 14 fours and a six. He was ably supported by Ajay Dev Goud, who made 57 and Siddharath Rao, who made an unbeaten 41.

In reply, Sporting XI fought valiantly before falling short of the target. They were restricted to 194 for five with Takshith Rao making 84. Varun Dhatrak took three for 45 for Imperial.

Former Hyderabad Ranji captain Tanmay Agarwal, who had missed out the last part of the 2025-26 season, came back with a bang. He slammed an unbeaten 155 off just 53 balls with 11 fours and 16 sixes as Deccan Chronicle romped to an eight-wicket win over Budding Star.

TP Anirudh’s all-round show (4/28 and 70) helped Central Excise post a three-wicket win over SCRSA.

Gnana Prakash’s unbeaten century went in vain as Combined District-1 lost to Charminar by five wickets. Gnana Prakash made 125 off 62 balls with 14 fours and eight sixes as Combined District-1 ran up 204 for three. But the total was not sufficient to deny Charminar their second consecutive victory. They replied with 207 for five in 19.3 overs.

Vishal Sharma and M Ravi Kiran bowled SBI to a 19-run win over Deccan Wanderers. SBI, batting first, made 201 for eight with S Anoop Pai scoring 83 and Danny Derek Prince making 57. In reply, Deccan Wanderers were bowled out for 182 despite S Dheeraj scoring 70. Vishal finished with three for 35 and Ravi got three for 36.
