Kanpur Warriors bounced back strongly in the tournament with a resounding 38–26 win over Ganga Kings of Mirzapur on Day 3 of Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) Season 2 at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Saturday.
Kanpur dominated the early exchanges before Ganga Kings briefly fought back to level the scores at 9–9. A decisive super raid by Ayush shifted momentum back in Kanpur’s favour, allowing them to pull away. Kanpur went into halftime with a 21–12 lead and maintained control thereafter.
The dominant Kanpur Warriors inflicted four all-outs, using coordinated raiding and disciplined defence to prevent any late comeback from Ganga Kings of Mirzapur and secure an important win and take full points from the game.
Awadh Ramdoots script thrilling comeback against JD Noida Ninjas
One of the most dramatic matches of the day saw Awadh Ramdoots edge past JD Noida Ninjas 41–39 after a remarkable second-half turnaround. It had all the makings of a thriller as both sides fought tooth-and-nail.
JD Noida Ninjas dominated the first half and held a nine-point lead at the break. Awadh Ramdoots responded after halftime by tightening their defence and inflicting an all-out to reduce the deficit.
Captain Abhimanyu Raghuvanshi then took charge with a composed raiding display, finishing with 13 raid points as Awadh steadily closed the gap and clinched a narrow two-point victory. It was a remarkable turnaround for Awadh Ramdoots as they showed great character to fight back in the second half.
Varun powers Kashi Kings to dominant win over Aligarh Tigers
The final match of the day saw Kashi Kings register a commanding 43–28 victory over Aligarh Tigers. The Kashi Kings were hardly tested by their rivals.
Kashi Kings dominated proceedings throughout the match, inflicting six all-outs to keep Aligarh under constant pressure. Raider Varun delivered a standout performance, completing 12 successful raids from 13 attempts, scoring 13 touch points and one bonus point.
Aligarh Tigers fought back through their raiding unit, with Kunal Bhati scoring 14 points and Vinay Tewatia adding 10 raid points, but defensive lapses proved costly as Kashi closed out a comfortable win.
Gazab Ghaziabad prove quite a handful for Yamuna Yoddhas

In the first match of the day, Gazab Ghaziabad produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Yamuna Yoddhas 56–28.
Gazab Ghaziabad took control of the contest early, combining aggressive raiding with a disciplined defensive effort to put Yamuna Yoddhas under sustained pressure. The momentum firmly swung in Gazab’s favour as they inflicted a series of all-outs, steadily widening the gap on the scoreboard.
Captain Uday Dabas led from the front with an outstanding raiding display. He orchestrated three all-outs during the match, repeatedly breaking through the Yamuna defence. One of the defining moments came when Dabas, despite being held by two defenders, pushed forward with determination and crossed the half line to complete the raid and wipe out the remaining players.
Uday Dabas finished the match with 19 raid points, emerging as the standout performer, while Gazab’s defence complemented the attack by staying compact and effective, keeping Yamuna’s raiders largely in check. At halftime, Gazab Ghaziabad already held a commanding 30–12 lead and continued to dominate proceedings in the second half, extending their advantage with consistent raids and timely tackles to close out the contest comfortably.
The match was witnessed by Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor, co-owner of Gazab Ghaziabad, who was present at the Noida Indoor Stadium to support the team as they registered a comprehensive victory. Tusshar Kapoor congratulated the team on the victory and expressed confidence that if the players continue to perform at this level, they will go on to lift the UPKL trophy.
